Our 4 - 6-th century A.D. equipment

New addition to our third century equipment.

 Arch of Galerius helmets.

Roman troops, relief from the Arch of Galerius, Thessaloniki AD298
Our late Roman equipment. I think that now in our club has equipment on a sufficient level for the period 4/7 century AD.

The shields are made of boards. This is a picture from the back side of the shields.

One of the most beautiful and significant images of a late Roman shield with Providencia symbol is from a San Vitale Mosaic from Ravenna-6th century A.D. Labarum is a popular symbol depicted on ancient monuments.

We decide our shields to be 2 different models. Round one is from Notitia Dignitatum. Until now I did not seen a reconstruction of this model of IIII SCYTHICA from Notitia Dignitatum. Or I'm not familiar with a similar publication. This is another resurgence of late Roman shield under this ancient document.

Part of the information is in libraries of Oxford, Paris, Viena and München.
I think the results that we have achieved is good!
