In Alba Iulia Romania was held Roman Festival Apulum Roman Festival Apulum APVLVM ROMAN FESTIVAL (6-8 May 2016). On this annual festival we from Scythia Minor club try to show a good attitude to antiquity and as always demonstrated best practices in historical restorations, based on the highest European standards.
This festival is a traditional event which involved some of the groups who are prepared in Rome and connected to this historical period re-enacting groups in Eastern Europe. This is a festival on which was demonstrated by the participating groups warfare and equipment, lifestyle and handicrafts of the Romans and Dacians. Fortunately, for the second time we received an official invitation to our club for this festival. It's an honor for us and is an indication that the efforts that we put for our quality Roman re-enacting at last year's events were not in vain and we have not been gone unnoticed.The Invitation to us was from Cultural Association for Living History Alba Iulia, National Museum of Union and the municipality of Alba Iulia. We met old friends and we were excited to meet new!

We use a second time our vexillum of the legions which we represent on this festival Legio XIIII Gemina. This is a situation on that we are present vexillatio to already existing in Germany Legio XIIII Gemina. Because legions which we currently recreating LEGION IIII SCYTHICA never was active in the Dacian Wars. We decided to participate in this prestigious festival with Legion that actually participated in this II Dacian Wars. I made my researches on the topic. Because this Legio fought on the territory of present Bulgaria later in the third century and has the same symbols such as LEGION IIII SCYTHICA, Capricorn with fishtail. For this need we chose Legio XIIII Gemina for second time. Of course it will be only temporary metamorphosis necessary for our correct participation in this festival. I think it is correct to participate in the festival with legions who actually attended on the defined territory! We want to recreate and other Legions, that depends from where we will be invited to participate.
